My background includes
commercial printing, newspaper and magazine publishing, website
development, graphic and photographic arts, transportation planning,
financial services, financial education, event coordination, traffic safety, data collection and personal development.
I have also taken a keen interest in urban planning, community
development and regional history.
Since 1973, I have been proud to call Central Alberta
home, having lived in Red
Deer, Sylvan Lake, Innisfail and Red Deer County. For 30 years, my wife Laddi and I have lived in Springbrook and Innisfail.

I recently retired as regional co-ordinator
for Junior Achievement and have been an active volunteer in a variety of boards and committees
including Forth Junction Heritage Society (President), Central Alberta Regional Trails Society (Vice-President), Springbrook Community
Association (Past-President), Red Deer Chamber of Commerce (Housing &
Infrastructure Committee) and Red Deer County Division 3 Recreation and
Culture Board (Chair).
In the past, I was also active with Central Alberta Arthritis Society
(Jingle Bell Run), the Baha'i communities of Innisfail and Red Deer, the
Harvard Historical Aviation Society, the
Lupus Society and the Alberta Central Model Railroad Club.
Aside from volunteering for a few community organizations, I am
webmaster for several not-for-profit organizations and operate
Central
Alberta Websites, that includes the publication of two online netMagazines --
Red
Deer Region and
Springbrook-Waskasoo Life.
